Getting There:

  • By Air: Ivato International Airport is the main airport serving Antananarivo, located about 16 kilometers northwest of the city center.
  • By Road: Antananarivo is well-connected by road to other major cities in Madagascar.

Attractions

Anatananarivo is home to a host of attractions among them the Rova of Antananarivo (The Queen's Palace) and the Ambohimanga: A UNESCO World Heritage Site located just outside the city, Ambohimanga is a sacred hill and traditional fortified royal settlement.

Rova of Antananarivo
